We were incredibly honoured to host Professor Scarlett McNally and Professor Farah Bhatti OBE yesterday. Their talks titled ‘Why the NHS is dying, and how doctors can fix it’ and ‘So you want to be a surgeon?’ were engaging and inspiring.

It was a rare opportunity to hear from two leading surgeons, both of whom have collected incredible accolades throughout their careers which between them include, two seats on the council of the Royal College of Surgeons as well as, an OBE, regular BMJ columns, presidency of the Medical Women's Federation, and more.

We would like to thank both Prof. McNally and Prof. Bhatti for their time and motivating talks.
